Interoperability enthusiast and technology strategy specialist, holding more than 12 years of professional experience, always keen to find (simple) solutions to (complex) problems. Fierce supporter of diversity and inclusion, both at professional and societal environments. Currently providing high level consultancy services to the EC in the area of technology strategy and digital public services transformation, with specific focus on interoperability maturity, especially at a trans-European level. Also counting more than 8 years of experience in both National and EU funded projects (H2020, FP7, Erasmus+, etc.), either as coordinator and technical project manager or as a project team member. Holding particular expertise in assessing the interoperability maturity of EU policies and digital public services, identifying gaps, implications and related risks. Working on methodologies to provide recommendations and best practices to bridge these gaps, towards a connected and smoothly collaborating EU.

Technical background: M. Eng. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and M.Sc. Degree in Engineering and Economic Systems from NTUA and University of Piraeus. Also, PhD candidate in the field of Enterprise Interoperability at the Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSSLab) of NTUA. 

Research and innovation interests include e-Government and e-Business Interoperability, as well as e-Participation, Social Media and Web 2.0 technologies. Further interests include also transportation, open and GIS data, as well as smart cities and smart mobility. Previous experience and interest also in Multi-criteria Decision Analysis, as well as Semantics and Services Engineering. Research results have been published in various conference proceedings, journals and books.
