Ida Lindgren

Associate Professor @ Linköping University (LiU)

I am an associate professor (docent) in information systems research and I have authored and co-authored scientific publications in journals, as well as conference papers in proceedings, conference/workshop papers, and research reports. I am part of the editorial board for Government Information Quarterly  and am engaged in two international conferences on digital government: IFIP WG 8.5 International Conference on Electronic Government (EGOV-CeDem-ePart), and Digital Government Society’s Annual International Conference on Digital Government Research (dg.o).

As a researcher in information system, I am interested in the development and use of information technology (IT) in organizations, and how IT is at interplay with issues related to organization of work. My research focuses on the e-government context in general, and on digitalization of public services (also known as e-services) in particular.

I am especially interested in issues related to how public services are transformed from manual and paper-based processes to digitalized ones; and, in understanding what actors in these organizations are allowed to be part of and affect this transformation process. The research is inter-disciplinary and conducted in close relationship with public sector organizations, as well as with commercial suppliers of digital services for the public sector.
