Günther Schefbeck

Austrian Parliament Administration

Günther Schefbeck has been working for the Austrian Parliamentary Administration since 1986, from 1993 to 2016 as the head of the department “Parliamentary Documentation, Archives, and Statistics”, and since 2016 as the head of the staff unit “Parliamentary Research”; he is also the secretary of the Science Committee and the Committee on Research, Innovation and Technology of the Austrian National Council. In the field of legal informatics, he has provided consultancy to various institutions, like the Parliaments of Mozambique, Serbia, and Albania. He has been working with European research projects like ARCOMEM, LISE, and NOMAD, and is currently working with the “ManyLaws” project. He has been teaching, e.g., at the University of Vienna and the Danube University Krems, as well as the LEX Summer School at the Ravenna campus of the University of Bologna.
