Scope

-The Samos 2011 Summit on Future Internet is co-organised by the University of Aegean, the Greek Interoperability Centre of the National Technical University of Athens and the ENSEMBLE FP7 project – supportive action to the FINES Cluster, managed by European Commission - DGINSFO, in order to foster international cooperation and strive for a new research and practice agenda in future internet systems and services.
-With an emphasis on Future Internet systems and services in the factory, in the enterprise and within a connected, inclusive society, the Samos Future Internet Summit will be a first-class opportunity to see, interact with and influence cutting-edge European ICT research projects and initiatives.
-Join the Collaborative Workshops on (a) the new Research Roadmap on Future Internet Enterprise Systems, and (b) the Enterprise Interoperability Scientific Formulation, as being prepared by the research community and the ENSEMBLE project partners and Experts Scientific Committee.
-Also, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other relevant international research projects in the area of Future Internet Systems and Services, from a governance, societal or interoperability viewpoint.

Yannis Charalabidis is Professor of Digital Governance in the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of Aegean. In parallel, he serves as Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the University, designing and managing youth entrepreneurship activities, and Head of the Digital Governance Research Centre, coordinating policy making, research and pilot application projects for governments and enterprises worldwide. He has more than 25 years of experience in designing, implementing, managing and applying complex information systems as project manager, in Greece and Europe.
